**Paul Subili** (also known as Subiri or Njobvu yaku Balaka) is a veteran Malawian musician from Balaka and the long-time leader of **Alleluya Band**, one of Malawi’s oldest and most influential groups (founded in 1978).
He joined the band in 1997 and has performed with many of its classic members, including Sir Paul Banda, Lucius Banda, and Coss Chiwalo. Known for tracks such as *Anali Ndi Cholinga*, he has released several albums and continues to put out new music while leading the band on annual fundraising tours to Italy that support projects in Balaka (including the Comfort Clinic).
In 2022 he was installed as **Village Head Sawa** in Balaka and balances traditional leadership with his music career. He remains active on stage and in the industry into his late 40s.
